That is a bold statement but it truly defines what is happening in our industry. Telecom Review is very active in our industry and meets new and innovative companies and their leaders at industry forums around the world to get their input on what is new, exciting and changing in the technology fields. We do this so that we may bring a different perspective for our readers so that they may keep their pulse on what is new and exciting in the telecom industry.

When you read this issue we are most likely at the Asian Carrier Conference in Cebu Philippines where we are a media sponsor for the event. In the next several weeks we will also be a sponsor at the Comptel show and the 4G World wireless event. We look forward to meeting you there!

In this issue you will read a very interesting piece about Matt Carter the President of Wholesale and New Ventures at Sprint. Matt is a very engaging person who has a true passion for challenging his employees to be more than simply wholesale suppliers. They make themselves understand their customer’s business so that in this day and age of not only carriers, but true service providers, Sprint stays ahead of the game. That is evident by the new services that are connecting to their network.

Telecom Review met with Ericsson’s Global CEO, Hans Vestberg earlier this year and did a feature on Ericsson’s innovations. One of his goals in 2012 is to expand their OSS/BSS capabilities using their Telcordia acquisition as a basis. It appears they are working hard on this goal so we felt it would be good to sit down with Ericsson and learn more, and they did not disappoint!

Bill Davidson gave us some excellent insight into Qualcomm’s continued innovations and Patrick Ostiguy, the CEO of Accedian, talked about how they keep their lead in the service assurance market in the Ethernet arena.

We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed meeting the people and reporting on their business!
