KKR completed an agreement with Telefónica Colombia, a subsidiary of the leading Spanish telecom group Telefónica, to establish Colombia’s first independent nationwide open access wholesale digital infrastructure company.

Bulk Infrastructure’s Oslo Internet Exchange (OS-IX) facility has doubled its data center capacity, thanks to the collaboration with Norwegian-based systems integrator and software developer Innit.

The trans-Atlantic EllaLink cable system linking Europe and Latin America has entered commercial operation. PEACE Cable International Network Co., Limited, an international submarine cable system company and PCCW will deploy the Infinera ICE 6 optical engine solution on the Mediterranean Segment of the Pakistan & East Africa Connecting Europe (PEACE) submarine cable system. The Infinera optical engine solution will provide the PEACE submarine cable system with the ability to transmit record-breaking capacity of nearly 25 terabits per fiber pair, while laying the foundation for enhanced service scalability, flexibility and future differentiation.

Kinetic by Windstream, a long-trusted community partner for high-speed internet, announced today it is creating a new engineering and fiber construction organization to manage its broadband expansion across 18 states. The company plans to add nearly 1,000 jobs.
