Zayo announced the expansion of its 400G wavelength network to address rapidly increasing bandwidth needs in the New York/New Jersey metro area. As one of the only providers bringing new capacity to the area, Zayo’s 400G network provides high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity to key industries in the economic epicenter of New York and offers connectivity to other key markets on Zayo’s largest independent network.
“As one of the most competitive business markets in the world, businesses in New York require a network that can help them keep up”
“As one of the most competitive business markets in the world, businesses in New York require a network that can help them keep up,” said Bill Long, Chief Product & Strategy Officer. “The expansion of our 400G network in New York is a true competitive differentiation for our customers. Not only are we providing the big bandwidth industries need for today and the future, but we are enabling our customers with the most modern, carrier-diverse, and low-latency connectivity to other key markets across the country and globe, in a way that no other provider can."
Leveraging Ciena technology, the expansion will optimize connections between Zayo’s metro network in New York and its extended long-haul network to ensure faster service delivery and experience across North America and the globe. Zayo’s 400G metro network in New York will link into key routes like Zayo’s SPREAD Network, the single most direct and lowest-latency route between New York and Chicago—the two largest financial markets in North America. It will also connect into major data centers and subsea cables in the New York metro for fast access to international networks to reach key markets like Latin America.
