Investing in a better future that reduces the environmental impact of operations and facilities, 50% of the entire CommScope Manaus factory demand is now powered by renewable solar energy.

This is an immense achievement in reducing the carbon footprint, reached through CommScope’s Clean Energy Project. “From solar cell installation to public energy provider approvals from Amazonas Energia, CommScope continues to move forward with our sustainability initiatives,” said Fernanda Rios, Manager, QMS, EHS & Compliance, CommScope Home Networks in a blog post.

In addition to these efforts, the CommScope Manaus facility has reduced the use of single-use plastics to transport raw materials and has increased the number of sustainable refrigerant gases in its operations.

Furthermore, the facility currently recycles 70% of all industrial waste.

CommScope Brazil also carried out two greenhouse gas (GHG) compensation initiatives wherein seedlings native to the Amazon rainforest were planted in the community and at the factory.
