AT&T partners with Nissan to integrate a Wi-Fi hotspot service on selected car models in Mexico. As part of the NissanConnect Services, Nissan Mexicana now allows users to have seamless Internet connectivity during their road trips.
“As a provider of integrated technology solutions, AT&T simplifies and improves the world through connectivity. Innovation is part of our DNA, which is why we are creating new ways to connect people and businesses in Mexico through the Internet of Things (IoT),” said Gabriel Fernández, director of Product IoT at AT&T México.
This new hotspot powered by AT&T will allow drivers and their passengers to connect to up to seven devices. The packages range from 220 Mexican pesos for 2GB to an unlimited annual package. Some of the first models where this service will be available are the new 2021 Nissan Kicks and Nissan Sentra.
Mexicans can now benefit from NissanConnect Services’ robust connectivity package that offers new solutions for safety, comfort, assistance, and diagnostics, as it allows the owner to have control of his vehicle remotely, as well as to know detailed information about the Nissan car through an app or from the website.
"At Nissan, we have a very clear vision of the future, in which we redefine the way in which vehicles are part of people's daily lives," explained Claudia Rodríguez, director of Strategic Projects, Electrification and Customer Experience, Nissan Mexicana.
AT&T Auto Conectado aims to make each trip a unique experience and that is why, once the vehicle is turned on, it turns it into a Wi-Fi access point. The Japanese brand makes its NissanConnect® Wi-fi Hotspot available to customers to strengthen its portfolio in connectivity services.
