Verizon now covers more than 175 million people with their ultra fast, ultra reliable 5G Ultra Wideband service, and will offer nationwide 5G Ultra Wideband in Q1 2023. The ongoing C-Band rollout is a full 13 months ahead of the original schedule, and continues to accelerate. Less than 21 months after announcing the results of the FCC’s C-band auction and after securing early access to an additional 30 markets this year, Verizon accelerated its build plan and surpassed its goal of reaching 175 million people covered by the end of 2022, a month ahead of schedule.

TELUS’s robust Q3 2022 performance reflects the chemistry of its globally leading broadband networks and customer-centric culture, which have enabled its strongest quarter on record, with total customer net additions of 347,000, up more than 8% year-on-year. This included strong mobile phone net additions of 150,000, up 11% over last year and the best quarterly result since the third quarter of 2010; record-high net connected device additions of 124,000; and an industry-leading total fixed net additions of 73,000.

Verizon’s total consolidated operating revenue for the third quarter of 2022 was $34.2 billion, up 4% from the previous year’s similar quarter. The total wireless service revenue recorded a YoY growth of 10%, primarily driven by the company's ownership of TracFone, continued effectiveness in its premium Unlimited strategy and ongoing strength in Business volumes. Yet, there has been a YoY decrease of 23.3% amounted to the company’s net income of $5 billion.

T-Mobile has agreed to sell its Wireline Business to Cogent Communications (NASDAQ: CCOI), a facilities-based network provider, for a purchase price of only $1.00. At the same time, T-Mobile has agreed to utilize IP transit services delivered by the Wireline Business for 4.5 years following closing, meaning that T-Mobile is effectively paying Cogent $700 million to offload this “legacy” unit.
