Bulk Fiber Networks announced today that it has engaged APTelecom to serve as its International Sales Partner to assist with the monetization of HAVFRUE, a new submarine cable system providing connectivity across the Atlantic.

Global telecommunications consulting and service company, APTelecom, selected by Bulk Infrastructure to support sales for connectivity on the trans-Atlantic HAVFRUE system which connects North America to the Nordics.

The HAVFRUE subsea cable is the first new undersea cable traversing the North Atlantic to connect mainland Northern Europe to the continental U.S. in nearly two decades, and the first ever to connect into Norway. It connects New Jersey, USA, to Esbjerg in Denmark with branches to Ireland and Norway.

The Havfrue consortium, which will own and operate the new Havfrue cable system connects New Jersey to Ireland and Denmark with future connectivity potential in Norway. ‘Havfrue’ means ‘mermaid’ in Danish. Google Cloud is one of the members of the Havfrue consortium, as well as Facebook, Bulk Infrastructure and Aqua Comms. Google Cloud is participating in the Havfrue project to build capacity in its North Atlantic systems.
